In 1978, Charles obtained his law degree from St. Mary's University School of Law after graduating from the University of Texas in 1975 with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. Transactional and litigation aspects of oil, gas and mineral law* compose Charles' areas of practice. Charles enjoys the confidence and trust his clients place in him by allowing him to play an integral role in the successful decision-making process of their high stakes business. Charles is a member of the American and Corpus Christi Associations of Professional Landmen. He is licensed in Texas, the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Charles and wife, Laurie, are active members of First United Methodist Church, where Charles serves on the administrative board and chairs the finance committee. They have three daughters. Fishing, hunting, reading and travel are part of Charles' leisure activities. He sits on the executive committee of the Gulf Coast Conservation Association and is also a past president of Texas Exes.
